Personally, I was always a bit bothered that many soft sex toys have anonymous ingredients- aside from "non-latex". Anyways, I stopped using jelly toys when I left one of them in my hot car when OmN and I went on a trip and it lost its colour (and sucked up others from surrounding objects).
this was posted to the altporn community a little while back:
"greenpeace netherlands has publicised a recent text that proves conclusively that jelly sex toys contain (some of them up to 30%) phthalates.
these materials are safe for use. non-porous/completely sterilizable: pyrex, steel, acrylic, pure silicone. mostly non-porous but still non-toxic: elastomer. porous but non-toxic (therefore prone to cause yeast or urinary tract infections, as well as transmit stds): cyberskin, latex, leather.
if it smells like chemicals, get rid of it. it's that simple. even the vapors can be toxic.
